Updates since DOOOOOOOM!

So not too much has been going on since my last post. We celebrated New Years in Wellington and then moved on to Christchurch. We took a flight from Wellington to Christchurch only because a flight cost half as less as the ferry across....... Our time in Christchurch was pretty fair until the weather came around and bit us in the ass. I missed my bus and sat around Christchurch for 8 hours waiting to get to Kaikoura. After I arrived I took care of laundry and met up with Donnie who had already been there... for 8 hours. The next day we rented bikes and wet suits and rode the bikes 12 miles, in the wrong direction to play with seals that were not present (probably due to the 12 miles of wrong direction. After a while we realized our mistake and returned to meet our guide Hayden who was taking us to go goat hunting. We drove up into the mountains and took as Hayden would have us a believe a "bit of a stroll". The cliffs were several thousand feet tall and a slip would have put you in the bottom of the mountain. This was made evident after the first goat we killed. Donnie pulled the trigger and Hayden yells " GOOD ON YA" we then went to find the goat and realized he fell a couple of thousand feet to his demise. My goat was a trickier one to take and due to my good nature I will not go into any details about his demise. We, unfortunately, could not take any meat with us because unbeknownst to us you can't eat goat. We are now in Picton just south of Nelson (mom your saviougn blanc is coming) and I am planning on staying for a few days praying that the weather clears up so I can dive a cruise ship wreck right around here. My plans, if you haven't heard, have spread out to include Australia and South East Asia. The tickets as my Mom knows have been a bit of a hassle to come about but I feel as though the situation has been rectified (A$100 voucher towards a hotel or a flight) and hopefully the tickets will be in my possession shortly. The internet is not free here and so much to your disappointment my blog ends now for a few more days. Until then.
